Heparin (1000IU/ml) Topical Solution is an anticoagulant which prevents clotting of blood. It is applied on the skin for the treatment of post-injection superficial thrombophlebitis (inflammation of a vein due to a blood clot). It speeds up the resolution of the blood clot, decreasing the pain and swelling.
